Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1794 Head of 1794 PCGS VF-20
Lot Number: 599
Description: Sheldon-32, and apparently die-state III, as there is no cud over "LI" on the obverse, while the blatant die crack through the first "S" in STATES extends past the leaves, accompanied by extensive clash marks. Leather-brown color pervades the surface and suggests a high probability of being fully original, and that adds to the appeal of solid commercial very-fine details. A couple of pointed, stray ticks on the neck are worth mentioning, while the surface on both sides displays additional small ticks, all consistent with middling circulation. The reverse shows about thirty degrees of rotation, which also seems consistent with the intermediate die-state, and since these were all struck from misaligned dies, the rim on the right of both obverse and reverse barely shows.
