Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1893-CC PCGS MS-63
Lot Number: 543
Description: The Sidewalk Collection. VAM-3, the "alligator eye" for 1893-CC. The curls over Liberty's hair and the eagle's breast feathers are far better struck than usual for the date, such that this seems to be a borderline perfectly struck key Morgan dollar. That in itself makes it a worthwhile purchase, but the coin also features vigorous luster beneath charming lilac-grey, sea-green and ruddy-tan hues. As befits the grade, some tiny contact marks nick at Liberty's cheek, with a single moderate tick at the lower jawline. A handful of tiny dots of glue may be found on the lower reverse with persistence.
