Description: 7 graded MS-67+, 3 higher at NGC (all MS-68). Sure, the 1879-S stands as one of THE common dates in the series, but nobody can deny the allure of a superb-gem Morgan dollar. Flagrant cameo appeal stands out clearly on either side even though this technically is not a prooflike example; the portraits are simply frosted in different texture from the vibrant fields. A tiny crumble beneath "In" on the reverse denies absolute perfection for that side, while the obverse sees a very few minute nicks.
