Description: D.J.D. Collection. VAM-3, Top-100. This is an earlier die-state (considered prime), although by the time this dollar was struck, the "G" in GOD had already become defective and filled in. Earlier strikes are often semi-prooflike, but there is no question that this is a blistering, fully lustrous example with extensive, foamy white texture. Reed marks show at the corner of Liberty's mouth and the center of each side shows the usual parallel striations from planchet rolling, but fields remain unusually free from contact.
