Description: The Crimson Collection. Even with five points of honest wear, the historic beauty and artistry stands out for the high-relief Saints of 1907. It's almost unfathomable to think that a work of art like this would have technically circulated, so one might assume that the coin received light wear through handing by a long-forgotten -- and undoubtedly well-heeled -- connoisseur. Lovingly struck and now showing consistent yellow-gold coloration throughout, even into the recesses and crevices, either side faces up nicely for appreciation by the viewer. Just light rub shows on Liberty's upraised fingers, bosom, and knee, as well as along the top edge of the eagle's nearest wing. One minor hairline down the obverse right field comes into view with persistent searching.
