Lot Title: 1856-S No Serif, Spiked F S.S. Central America PCGS MS-62
Lot Number: 373
Description: Youngsters Collection. 17-K, which has been attributed on the slab. An absolutely terrific strike appears to have imparted all details throughout both sides, with the exception of the extreme tips of the eagle's wings, which both show the faintest hint of softness. For the MS-62 grade, not nearly the expected number of abrasions show up under a loupe, but the conservation process required to remove ocean floor encrustation may have created light hairlining that accounts for the grade. Regardless, the eye-appeal definitely takes front row for this gleaming, lightly toned S.S. Central America survivor.
