Description: The Edellmann-Thomas Collection.Anyone who has been collecting United States mint sets can tell you just how difficult it is to attain the early years in their original packaging. Most of the time these sets were cherry picked for ultra-attractive examples to be graded and thus the set were no longer original. There are two 1948 sets and a lone 1949 set that makes up this tough to find group lot that is full of beautiful mint state examples. These just do not come along to often (ck).
