Lot Title: 1921-S Buffalo nickel Obverse Lamination F-12, and a 1943-D Jefferson nickel Reverse Struck Thru MS-66 6FS, both NGC
Lot Number: 848
Description: 1921-S is known to often get struck on terrible planchets, and in this case, the typical presence of a planchet lamination was pushed to such extreme size that NGC saw fit to call it a "mint error". A huge, linear flake of metal has detached, leaving a broad streak passing over the Indian's nose. Accompanying is a 1943-D with an amazing strike, and a sizable enough strikethrough on the right of the mintmark to warrant additional mention as a "mint error". Two coin lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
