Lot #: Go
Lot Title: Two 1921 Missouri, both NGC MS-64
Lot Number: 834
Description: Roman Powers Collection. The Missouri has somehow become one of the most abused entries into the commemorative series, with numerous examples dulled today because of past dips. But this is an unusual opportunity to obtain a pair of fabulously original examples. The first displays superb, deep citrus-bronze tint within the peripheries, thinning a bit toward pewter-orange nearer the portraits. The accompanying coin remains just as original but the color shift from tin-grey to tangerine is much more subtle. In either case, the lack of major contact falls fully in line with the MS-64 grade. For the connoisseur, a highly coveted two coin lot.
