Description: The Bert Davies Collection. Overton-102. In this die-state, a sixth berry on the reverse, which should appear on the left side of the branch just above the eagle's claw, was virtually eradicated by the twice-clashed die, although a remnant can just barely be seen for the present example. While considered a "scarce" die-marriage at best, higher graded examples prove very difficult to come by, and VF-30 falls near a "sweet spot" for return on investment. Details are plenty bold throughout, with distinguishable strands of hair still visible above the brow. Only shallow details form over the eagle's left (observed) wing, as is the case for just about every example off of these dies.
