Description: The Now-And-Then Collection. First is Byzantine Empire - Constans II Pogonatus with Constantine IV (Ch AU), well detailed dies with strike and surface that seem a bit above average despite the NGC evaluation. Accompanying is Byzantine Empire - Romanus III Argyrus histamenon nomisma (XF), the strike produced entirely upon a well-shaped, round flan and lightly handled. The "numisma" is a genitive of the Latin "numismatis", itself a variant of "nomisma" and obviously that gave rise to the modern term "numismatics".
