Description: Cohen-2a has its own entry in the Redbook as the "punctuated date", so-called due to a jagged die defect between the first two digits. The denomination area retains a near-legible HALF CENT despite the overall microporosity that has somewhat distorted sharpness. Therefore, the cataloger suggests details of at least the "very good" level, netted down substantially due to the comprehensive surface roughness.
