Lot Title: 1882 $10 Brown Back - St. Louis, MO Charter #4178 - PMG ChCU-64 EPQ
Lot Number: 21
Description: The Bill Roberts Collection. The National Bank of Commerce in St. Louis, Missouri. The Bank of Commerce supplied multiple large hoards with uncirculated brownback notes, which is what keeps collectors in stock today with excellent type examples. Indeed, three or so astounding CU-68 notes exist today. But, why pay top dollar when the eye cannot tell the difference between an outrageous grade, and the virtual-gem quality granted here? Strong left-right margins balance a slightly tight top margin and surround a note with terrific paper (observable even "through the plastic" and terrific embossing.
