Description: The K.C. Collection. The Walter M. Lowney Co. was a chocolate factory best remembered for its "Cherry Blossom" candy, a maraschino cherry and syrup surrounded by a mixture of coconut, peanuts and chocolate. The company was located in Boston, MA between 97 and 107 Pearl Street, and at some point, offered Columbian half-dollars ("COLUMBIAN SOUVENIR") in specially made presentation boxes. The purple cloth interior induced some extraordinary colors such that the included half-dollar displays neon teal, magenta-bronze, indigo and shades of forest green.
