Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1918-S PCGS MS-64
Lot Number: 797
Description: The 1918-S was produced in high numbers, on par with that of the much more common 1917, or even many dates in the 1940s. So, explaining the disparity between true scarcity and original production is troublesome. Few mint-state examples remain extant today compared to the hoard-quantities available of later dates, and a properly graded MS-64 is a sight to behold. Here is an unusually lustrous example that features many tiny dashes of olive-orange along with a distinct path of this same hue across the obverse sun's face. Struck from earlier dies, the details prove promising beneath a loupe, attended by the usual softness always seen at the center.
