Description: Leontopodium Alpinum Collection. 69 graded MS-65, 18 higher at NGC. Compared to subsequent issues, the 1915-D tends to offer pleasing aesthetics and this substantially brilliant, frosty example does not disappoint. Silvery apricot hues emanate subtly from the surface and create an attractive, vintage appearance, all the more pleasing given that the coin appears fully original. The presence of minuscule carbon flecks indicate never-cleaned status. Overall, details have been prominently struck up, with the only lack of perfection seen at the far left edge of the bison's head and the end of the Indian's second feather.
