Description: Sheldon-75, R.3, shares an obverse with S-74, but on the reverse, digits within "100" in the denomination line up well for S-75, compared to a denomination with the second zero very low on the other reverse. For lettered-edge cents of '95, this is apparently the most readily available Sheldon variety in high grade. Very dark walnut-brown patina approaches ebony levels, which helps disguise an old, light pin scratch briefly crossing the neck. Raised verdigris may be found on either side but appears more prominent on the reverse, hugging many of the upraised devices and letters. An impressively detailed '95 for the collector.
