Lot Title: Four certified Colonial coppers
Lot Number: 578
Description: The K.C. Collection. First is a 1783 Nova "pointed rays, large US" (PCGS VF-30 CAC), pretty walnut brown and decent details but a fair amount of surface grunge. Next is a 1787 Fugio Newman 13-R (ANACS VF/corroded), a somewhat better die-marriage with some planchet voids over leather-brown surfaces. Third is a 1788 Massachusetts 1/2-cent Ryder1a, Rarity-4 (PCGS genuine, our grade Fine/environmental damage) that displays significant planchet streaks, but also surprisingly decent micro-fine surface texture. Finally, a 1788 Massachusetts cent (PCGS VG-8, old green label) displays steel overtones on a near-smooth example. Four coin lot.
Estimate: $1,400-$1,800

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
