Description: 95 graded MS-60, 633 higher at NGC. The population guide for 1901 is horribly misleading in the cataloger's opinion. This is an instantly recognizable grade-rarity within the series in any mint-state grade, suggesting that the population (at either grading service) has been greatly inflated by resubmissions. Even a single point upgrade can represent thousands of dollars of value. Complete mint luster spreads into the fields, greeting only a faint tinge of gold on the rims. Either side also displays plentiful random abrasions responsible for the grade, and also only a decent strike overall.
