Lot Title: 1884-CC NGC MS-67
Lot Number: 519
Description: Bradford Pear Collection. 149 graded MS-67, 8 graded MS-67 "star", 14 higher at NGC. Kenneth Bressett Signature. VAM-3A. A spindly die crack extends left and right of the bottom of the digits in the date, and on the reverse, a small die break adheres to the top of the left arm of the wreath. 1883-CC, 1890-CC, 1891-CC, and 1892-CC all had higher mintages, yet 1884-CC is the most common Morgan dollar emission from Carson City, and this is borne out by the population reports. Unlike a typical CC dollar, the cheek seen here looks amazingly clean and generally free of all but the most minute abrasions, although the bridge of the nose shows contact. Sensational pure white luster roams the fields and illuminates an incredibly deep, accurate and virtually perfect strike.
