Description: J and B Consignment. 255 graded MS-67, 31 higher at PCGS. VAM-5, but the die-state isn't easy to divine, since there is no dash beneath the second "8" in the date. The die scratch connecting the denticles beneath "DO" on the reverse shows well, but not the die gouge at the eagle's mouth. The specialists must make his own evaluation! Regardless, this is an impressive "superb gem" that features needle-sharp delineation of the wavy lines above Liberty's ear, as well as minute definition of every tiny detail within the bowtie on the reverse. A blistering, brilliant white example affected only by exceedingly light grazes in the surface texture.
