Lot Title: 1882-CC NGC MS-67
Lot Number: 503
Description:

Bradford Pear Collection. 58 graded MS-67, 7 higher (4 grade MS-67 "star", 2 graded MS-67+, and 1 graded MS-67+ "star") at NGC. Kenneth Bressett Signature. VAM-3A. The die-state is what helps narrow down attribution as clashing produces marks at the lips, above the eagle's left (observed) wing, and between the far right edge of the eagle and the neighboring branch. Most examples of 1882-CC were not released at the time of issue and held by the Treasury, and this has helped to establish the very limited number of "superb gem" examples that exist today. An excellent strike nearly brought up nearly full details, and unquestionably produced resounding blazing white luster throughout. Exceedingly faint, tiny abrasions affect the cheek and barely graze into the lovely satiny texture, accounting for the grade. An astounding Carson City that displays absolutely no color whatsoever.
