Description: The Royal Treatment Collection. 26 graded MS-60, 312 higher at PCGS. 1884-S requires no introduction as one of the all-time great condition rarities within the series, and has been well-known as such for decades. The key has always been separating the true MS-60 examples (or better) from the "sliders" (AU-58+). Remarkably, the MS-60 grade is more rare than either MS-61 or MS-62 for this date, if one believes in third-party grading. This example appears to be slightly better detailed than average for the date, yet the curl above the ear remains undefined. Just about fully lustrous aside from many luster grazes in the obverse left field that almost mimic friction.
