Description: The Alabama Collection. Although exceptionally well struck, the 1881-S technically doesn't quite reach perfection as the threads of hair over the ear are very slightly soft. Nevertheless, this is a stunning blast-white example with ornate, flashy luster spiraling out of the fields, and contrasting beautifully with lightly frosted devices. 1899-O hands-down appears to be an end-of-roll example, with a bright white reverse paired against squared-off rose-gold, denim-blue and salmon-orange colors on the obverse. Two coin lot.
