Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1881-S PCGS MS-64, and an 1887 MS-64 Star CAC
Lot Number: 386
Description: That the 1881-S beams with exquisite comes as no surprise given that these are the most consistently pretty pieces within the series, but the reverse quite surpasses expectations. Modest yet exceedingly attractive ring toning brings out the best for this stunning jewel. 1887 takes a different route as obvious bag toning taps the highest possible level of eye-appeal for a colorful example. Incredibly vivid bands of rainbow color bend and arc over the portrait and incorporate deeply saturated cobalt, lavender-gold, magenta, teal and chartreuse hues to produce an imitable effect. Two coin lot.
