Description: Captain Jack Collection. Just at first glance, the obverse of 1878-S will prove to be obviously prooflike, with a full cameo portrait springing up out of the well of liquid-metal brilliance. This coin was struck with almost absurd precision, lacking not even the flimsiest smidge of detail. 1889 shows only a decent strike, this being a fully frosted ice-white example struck off of clashed dies. Two coin lot.
