Description: Kansas City Collection. Mintage: 124,500. 36 graded AU-58, 37 higher at NGC. Type I / I. Almost fully struck, light circulation has erased none of the finest details, and the luster remains nearly intact aside from modest field friction. Earlier strikes are sometimes found prooflike, but the dies were a bit aged when they created this frosty specimen. 1873-CC was the first struck Carson City trade dollar and that alone makes it popular with collectors.
