Description: While wars were beginning to rage overseas, the United States Mint was cranking out more commemorative issues than ever before. 1936 was a densely populated year for classic commemorative half dollars and these four coins make a great representation of that offering. This symmetrical four coin lot offers two NGC certified issues that are both 1936 Long Island halves that are both certified MS-64 CAC. The remaining two issues are both light green label PCGS examples that includes a 1936-S Rhode Island MS-65 CAC and a 1936 York MS-65 CAC. Conservatively graded pieces in older style holders like these tend to disappear from today's numismatic marketplace (ck).
