Lot Title: 1962 PCGS MS-65FBL
Lot Number: 927
Description: J. S. P. Collection. Either side is swathed within gentle almond-silver patina. The lines on the reverse die which inscribe the bell lines on the final struck product are thin, fragile, and raised. Thus, strike after strike wears down this coveted detail such that coins designated "full bell lines" tend to be earlier strikes. And as a result, examples such as this often display die polish within their fields. Two oblong ticks on either side of Franklin's portrait must have figured into grade consideration, but no major marks exist.
