Description: 17 graded MS-65, 4 higher at PCGS. Relatively low mintage of about a million pieces underscores the fact that 1892-S can scarcely be located at the gem level, and yet here we are, offering an exceptional example. Sensational luster abounds, fleet of foot as it spins vibrantly through the fields, especially on the reverse. Indeed, this side has nearly fully brilliance and but a few splashes of color, while pleasing Navy-grey and olive accents shimmer throughout the obverse peripheral areas. One tick may be noticed at the top of the bridge of the nose of this beautifully detailed half-dollar, but in no way does it deprive the viewer of superb eye-appeal.
