Description: Overton-101. "ME" touch on the reverse, and the scroll ends just about at the center of "M", the rightmost such positioning for 1825 and therefore diagnostic. Helping to affirm attribution, the thirteenth obverse star points very close to the neighboring curl. As could be interpreted by the MS-62 grade, this half-dollar offers a somewhat low-contrast appearance due both to a modestly shallow strike, and also the presence of a fairly deep pile of greyish toning. Bright light reveals slightly better lavender-grey color and the surface has remained unexpectedly free from abrasions overall.
