Description: Bert Davies Collection. Overton-105, "apostrophe reverse". Die clashes are generally not diagnostic to bust half attribution, but for O-105, they characterize this very common die-marriage. Irregular clash marks connect the tops of the date's digits, and on the reverse, some characteristics include an arrowhead centered precisely beneath "U", a star point connected to the eagle's beak, and a prominent apostrophe between "ES OF" on the reverse. Flat details are partially a result of worn dies, yet tinges of luster remain, a bit muted, perhaps, between some peripheral devices.
