Description: 7 graded PR-65 CAM, 6 higher at PCGS. The near-ubiquitous design for the Seated Liberty quarter design was modified in 1866 to include IN GOD WE TRUST on the reverse, and collectors particularly value the date as the "first of type" (or sub-type). While not designated as a "deep cameo", the stark white appearance presents unexpectedly high contrast for only "cameo", although the mirrors technically do not offer the depth required of designation upgrade. The coin still displays fully struck, frosty devices and brilliant, deeply mirrored fields, which are bereft of all but a few faint hairlines.
