Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1908-S PCGS MS-64RD CACCAC
Lot Number: 550
Description: 224 graded MS-64 RD, 320 higher at PCGS. Phenomenal copper-orange dominates the obverse, while the reverse appears slightly more subdued, perhaps suggesting the coin was in a uniface album for some time (i.e., and old cardboard Whitman folder or similar). Four exceptional, strong and bold diamonds imply an unusually sturdy strike for 1908-S. The obverse also shows very faint, subtle horizontal toning nuances, again as is sometimes seen on mint red album cents. There is no discernible contact that would seem to preclude upgrade, making this a lock-down premium example for the grade.
