Description: Bert Davies Collection. 1871 looks like it was struck out of a Hershey's planchet, as beautiful chocolate-brown dominates the eye-appeal. The equivalent of two full diamonds remain. 1872 is not quite as glossy as its companion, and on the reverse, some weakness shows at the top of the wreath and through the shield. Much better dates within this two coin lot.
