Lot Title: Nearly complete collection of Standing Liberty quarters in a Whitman 9417 album
Lot Number: 725
Description: Forest Park Collection II. Collector appeal: "A" given the high level of sharpness and the lack of only two keys (certified and included elsewhere in this sale). The target grade range for the overall set obviously attempts to reach the XF/AU level, with very few pieces failing to meet the grade. Numerous highlights could be mentioned, but the following list represents the best pieces: 1917 type-1 (AU, mulberry color), 1917-D type-1 (XF), 1917-D type-2 (XF), 1917-S type-1 (AU), 1919-D (XF), 1919-S (XF/lightly cleaned), 1920-D (XF), 1921 (VF), 1923-S (AU, and likely the nicest coin remaining in the collection), 1924-D (XF), 1924-S (XF), 1926-S (AU), and 1927-S (XF). Spend some time with this set and note the unusually elevated sharpness level seen throughout, because as a whole, it is quite a remarkable advance over the usual assemblage of heavily worn examples.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
