Description: HT-262, R.3. Extremely desirable, the Feuchtwanger series probably saw its heyday during the 1990s when popularly collected by die-marriage, but the series continues to be heavily sought today, with the 3-cent pieces far more elusive than the usually-seen 1-cent denomination. The obverse depicts the Arms of New York State, faced by the 3-cent denomination that would have seemed unusual during the 1830s. The strike is reasonably centered to the extent that the PCGS gooey insert permits inspection, and given the number of pieces "enhanced" over the years, the extremely original patina proves to be highly appealing.
