Lot Title: 1835 half-cent and 1851 large cent, both PCGS MS-63BN
Lot Number: 498
Description: Joanna H. Fogle Collection. Blushes of pumpkin-orange toward the obverse left and reverse right side of the 1835 half-cent are all that relieve the surface from being fully dark chocolate brown, and in any case, there is ample luster for the MS-63 BN level. This coin was struck from clashed dies. Accompanying is an 1851 large-cent that features strangely attractive traces of mint red behind predominant maroon-brown patina, and a superbly original surface. Nice copper pieces within this two coin lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
