Description: Bradford Pear Collection. The utterly grotesque aspect is precisely what makes for such an appealing error, as the nickel planchet has been struck out into a strangely oblong shape - even more distended than usual for this off-planchet striking. The date and mintmark are off the flan, but judging by the die characteristics, this seems likely to be an early 1980s production. Remarkable in multiple ways, for sure.
