Lot Title: Two 1878 7TF Reverse of 1878 MS-63, and two 1878 8TF (MS-62 and MS-64), all PCGS

Description: 1878 was the inaugural year of the Morgan silver dollar series and there are several varieties within that first year of issue. Two of the major varieties are represented within this four coin lot of PCGS certified examples. The first set of twins is a pair of 1878 8TF issues that have been graded as MS-62 and MS-64 respectively. Each of these coins is overwhelmingly white with just the smallest bit of russet toning spotted at 12 o’clock on the MS-62 obverse. A second set of twins is a pair of 1878 7TF Reverse of ’78 that have each been graded MS-63. Both of these issue are predominantly white with similar patterns of purple s and reds just barely clinging to the peripheries (ck).
