Description:	A few 1878-S trade dollars have been certified as "prooflike" in the past, and such may have been the case for this flashy example upon being first struck. Even after a bit of time spent in circulation, the fields retain mirrored character, especially on the reverse. A die chip in the "S" mintmark may be of interest to some variety specialists. I always arrive late to work, but I make up for it by leaving early. And noticing die chips in mintmarks.
