Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1881-S MS-61, 1898 MS-62 CAC, and a 1906-D MS-60 (rattler), all PCGS
Lot Number: 164
Description: Barry Hopper Collection. Strangely flashy despite many small abrasions, the bronze-gold 1881-S must have possessed semi-prooflike appeal as it fell off the dies. 1898 scores a hit with the perfect number of abrasions for MS-62 and some pleasing two-tone patina. Finally, 1906-D suffers many dull sliding marks that subdue the luster, but offers an intriguing admixture of wintergreen over dusty medium gold. Three coin lot.
