Description: Timeless beauty is the hallmark of all proof Walking Liberty half-dollars, and this is one of the few series upon which most collectors agree that "brilliant is best". And if that is so, one cannot possibly complain about the extreme, pure white brilliance of this "very Gem" specimen. The mirrors are so bright that they nearly create cameo contrast with the also-bright but slightly textured devices. This appears to be a middle die-state example, struck off of dies that had just been freshly prepared, as one can infer from the weak "AW" monogram, and yet there is not even the slightest weakness of detail that can be located on either side.
