Description: Hal Shawb Collection. The entire surface has been endowed with the slow development of almond-gold patina that only slightly subdues attractive, underlying luster. A bright lamp brings to the fore the spangling bands that are particularly energetic toward the rims. The strike seems to be unusually nice for a San Francisco emission of this era, with the obverse stars almost completely incised except for perhaps the two at upper left.
