Description: Turn-of-the-century San Francisco half-dollars manage to touch the "about uncirculated" level, according to NGC, and each provides the requisite level of sharpness for the grade. The obverse of 1899-S gets visited by a sheer layer of pale grey patina with some tan crumbles along the obverse upper border, while the reverse has become thoroughly doused in denim-grey and coral overtones. 1900-S has some glossy character visible on either side, offset somewhat by deeper shades gravitating toward the rim. Two coin lot.
