Description: Going To Houston Consignment. Mintage: 50,000. NGC indicates "3 M" on the slab insert, but more accurately, this is a Germany-Weimar Republic-Tubingen 1927F 3-reichsmark ("3 RM"). The distinction is important because specimen strikings of the former are extremely rare and expensive, whereas the present circulating coin was struck for general use, although uncirculated pieces should sell for a few hundred dollars, and a rare Gem like the present coin could hammer nearer a thousand dollars. Spectacular satin luster beams from the wide-open fields, the only distraction being a couple of unimportant nicks flung out to the obverse left.
