Lot Title: 1897 AU-55, and a 1901 AU-55, both PCGS
Lot Number: 935
Description: Interesting toast-bronze color splashes over the 1897, and the luster and sharpness suggest more like an AU-58 grade. However, PCGS may have limited the grade due to strong marks on Liberty's nose. Despite the use of aged dies for 1901, as can be inferred by the intriguing orange-peel effect that has started to form throughout, this was a well struck example when it fell into the hopper, and considerable frosty beige luster remains. Two coin lot.
