Description: 1893-S is obviously the key date to the Morgan dollar series, but it also represents a difficult acquisition within the Barber half-dollar series, and "about uncirculated" examples typically run into four digits of value. However, PCGS has declared the present example to have been "cleaned" at one time. The cataloger suggests that really, only the obverse suffers excessive hairlines, and even at that, they are scarcely distracting. Lavender-grey has overtaken most of the obverse while the reverse is awash in a jangled mixture of aqua-blue and coral-grey tones.
