Description: Proof twenty-cent coins are rare in all grades, and this first year of issue 1875 example will prove to be highly desirable despite having the assigned grade of PCGS AU-Details/cleaning. The cleaning mentioned on the holder insert is more apparent on the obverse. Sadly some repeated wiping or polishing gives an unnatural look to the devices and hairline scratches in the fields. That aside, the coin still has remarkable eye appeal and deeply mirrored fields. Given the low original mintage of just 2,790 coins, this coin may prove to be a good value for a collector looking to include a proof example in their type set (ls).
