Description: 30 graded MS-66+, 82 higher at PCGS. That the 1913-D type-1 is readily available above the "Gem" level, even given the number of avid collectors, is explained by the sheer number that were saved during the turnover from the Liberty head to the new Indian head design in 1913. Platinum-blonde hue could not be more pleasing for the type and the strike could scarcely be improved upon as a branch mint issue, but the persnickety collector may interpret a small scratch on the Indian's cheek as being incompatible with the grade.
